Sundarban is beautiful with its natural views and charming ecosystem but inhabitants of this delta are financially challenged because of the lack of all basic infrastructure. Communication system to main land is also very bad and mostly dependent on slow-speed boats, which take 3-4 hours even for 12-15 km of journey.

Average people are very poor, illiterate and they do not have any good clinic for their health care. Most of the diseases are not only related to lack of awareness but also inculcating out of illiteracy.

Our survey has shown that it takes 3-4 hours to access the nearest health care center. Some basic and emergency health care for cases like snake bite, heart attack and baby delivery are absolutely ignored in the region. So Mukti has taken initiative to establish one primary health care center in the remote region to serve the community during emergency.
