I am Debrata Sarkar. I come from Dinhata village in Cooch Behar district in West Bengal. There are five members in our family. I stay with my parents, grandmother and sister. My elder sister and I both still study. My elder sister is doing MA and I am a student of Metallurgical and Material Engineering1st year from Jadavpur University. My father is a farmer . He cultivates on other's land. My mother is a housewife. The financial condition of our family is not good. We are all dependent on my father’s monthly income. My father hardly struggled but he couldn’t afford all my educational expenses. So, now I face many types of problems in my education. I can't pay my tuition fees from time to time and I can't purchase my essential study books. In this condition I do not understand how I can continue my studies properly. I would like to do social work and help needy helpless people in the future when I fulfill my goal. As a response, I submitted an application to Mukti with the hope that, if I am chosen to be a sponsor, then it will be very helpful for me and my family. |
