| About |
I stay in the Radhanagar Road, Chitra in the Asansol district of West Bengal. My family
comprises of my father, mother and an younger brother. My father, Ashok Mishra was a service
holder. He quit his job for personal problems leading to problems of chemical dependence. My mother,
Surupa Mishra, since then has been making efforts in various ways to earn for the family. She started
with home-made food delivery business. The business did not do well and after facing financial loses, it
was closed down. She rented a portion of our house after that to meet the family expenses. I am
currently a student of International Relationship under the deptt. of political science in Jadavpur
University. I also provide tuitions and try to bear my expenses to the extent possible. It is very difficult
for my mother to arrange educational expenses for me and my brother. Hence, I had applied in Mukti
for sponsorship and I am very thankful to JU Alumni Association of Sydney for shortlisting me. Had I not
got this support, I would have to discontinue my studies. I wish to pursue further studies and become a
professor. |
